If you love food trucks, you'll want to discover the next stage in their evolution. Gypsy's Truckstaurant is now open close to our apartments near Johns Hopkins. It's the first of its kind in the city and maybe in the entire world!. Let's check out the World's First Truckstaurant in Baltimore.
WHO IS THE GENIUS BEHIND THIS?
This food truck-restaurant hybrid is brought to you by the same people who operate the seven-time award-winning Gypsy Queen Food Truck and the former Helen's Garden restaurant. A big food truck serves as the main kitchen, and there's indoor seating for more than 90 guests at their new permanent location in the Hampden neighborhood.
By now you're probably asking yourself why didn't anyone think of this before. Once you eat at a truckstaurant you may never be able to imagine life without them. It's everything you like about food trucks only better. The menu is more extensive. You don't have to worry about the weather. You can sit down to eat, and you don't have to go around looking for a bathroom. Plus, unlike the average food truck, you can even play ping pong at Gypsy's.
WHAT’S THE FOOD LIKE?
The menu combines many of the classic favorites from the previous restaurant and the food truck, which will continue to roam Baltimore streets and pop up at festivals. That means Baltimore-inspired fusion cuisine like the original crab cone, a traditional crab cake served in a waffle cone of hand cut fries with spicy aioli. Their newest dessert is also a hit. It's an ice cream cookie sandwich with Graham cracker crumble and charred marshmallows on the side. The prices are very reasonable, and there are plenty of options for vegetarians too like curried falafel and cannellini and quinoa tacos.
A fun-filled community and luxurious amenities are two of the perks of living at The Academy on Charles. Contact us today to learn more about our fully furnished apartment homes.
