Take Part in Fall Fun at a Farm in Baltimore

There are a variety of local farms that you and your family can visit around our apartments near Johns Hopkins this fall. You can experience a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy, including apple picking, pumpkin picking, going through a corn maze, making your own candied apples or even taking a hayride.

No matter which outdoor activities you are looking to do this fall, there is a local farm that will offer outdoor fall events that you will be interested in. The following are 3 community-based farms in the Baltimore area that you can visit to enjoy a variety of different outdoor fall activities:

The Maryland Sunrise Farm LLC is a local, Baltimore farm that is proud to offer a variety of fall activities. They also offer fall-time farm tours and opportunities for people to interact with, pet, and feed the animals on the farm. There are chances to go for pumpkin tours and hayrides as well. Those who are interested can even enjoy a brisk day out in the beautiful fall weather as they take horseback-riding lessons!

Clark's Elioak Farm offers an incredible opportunity to take everyone to one of Baltimore's best local petting farms. Anyone can choose to take an educational tour which will show how the entire farm works and operates on a daily basis. Visitors can also interact with the animals in their natural, farm-like environment, learn more about the animals (i.e. habits, diets, etc.), and hand feed and pet the animals all throughout the family's farm.

There are seasonal pumpkin patches available for residents to pick and buy their very own pumpkin decorations. You can even jump on a seasonal hay-ride to get to the pumpkin patch. Upon arrival, you can choose the pumpkins you wish to purchase and take home. When you get home, it's up to you with what you do with them from there. Whether you choose to carve them or use them to decorate or even cook, it's entirely up to you!

Weber's Cider Mill Farm is one of the most popular seasonal apple-picking locations in all of Baltimore! You can pick your own apples throughout the autumn months at the Weber's Cider Mill Farm. You can also enjoy harvesting a variety of other fall-time produce including plumps, broccoli, garlic, potatoes, pumpkins, spinach, winter squash, turnips, and sweet potatoes.

After you pick and purchase your produce, you can stop by the farmer's market for more delicious, seasonal deals. You can also enjoy a variety of different ciders that are made right on the farm. The apple cider is the perfect, warm treat for everyone after they finish picking their produce on a chilly autumn day.
